High Quality Teaching and Learning - Implementation
Physical education is taught by our dedicated and passionate teaching team, led by our own Mr Yates; teacher, qualified sports coach and swimming coach. Our school site has two large grassed fields, a soft surface running track and two hard courts / netball courts. Our children also have access to a Rope Ravine and a fixed obstical course throughout the day.
Our older children have the opportunity to become 'Play Leaders' developing their leadership roles and supporting the physical development of their younger peers. All areas are open during playtimes, giving children the choice of more structured games, inventive games, imaginative play, conversation and quiet spaces.

Extra Curricular Sports
Running Club - A popular early morning club that wakes even the most sleepy head. Running competitions held at Walton Gardens on a Saturday morning, the Bales Race & Victoria PArk events.
Football Clubs - Our school is lucky to have two qualified football coaches amongst our teaching team who share their passion for football with our boys and girls. Our teams compete with schools in our local area and accross Warrington.
Tennis Club - We have specialist coaches who give high quality lessons to our children on our hard courts.
Netball Club - Our children enjoy the fast pace version that is High Five. This gives our children the opportunity to gain skills and experience in all positions on the court, in a game split into shorter quarters where children rotate their possition. Setting them in good standing for joining amater netball clubs and going on to play for High School teams.
Rounders - A very popular summer club led by an enthusiastic Mr King! Interschool competitions are held between the Bridgwater cluster of Primaries.
Quick Cricket - A wonderful way to begin to learn the rules of cricket (with a twist). This version is high evergy and encourages children to develop their fielding skills and work together as a team.
