Safeguarding at Appleton Thorn Primary

Our Safeguarding Team

Safeguarding Team

When asked if their child felt safe at school, 100% of our parents said "YES" - Parent questionnaire 2023

Appleton Thorn Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this committment by contributing to:

  • Providing a safe environment for children to learn and thrive.
  • Identifying children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm (both mentally and physically), by taking apropriate action, with the aim of ensuring that they are kept safe at all times.

To achieve this, we:

  • Promote safe practice
  • Identify instances where there are causes for concern about a child's welfare
  • Initiate and take appropriate action to keep children safe
  • Contribute to effective partnership working between all those involved in providing services for our children

For more details, please read the Safeguarding policy above and our other policies outlining our safeguarding commitments to all childrem and staff.
